Grand Region As-Needed Maintenance 2021:
​The first of its kind this project is for needed repairs for MDOT's Grand Region. The project goals were to complete a priority list of 10 projects. These projects with the highest priority were:
  • M-21: HMA Skip Patching:  Concrete Patching
  • M-66: Concrete Patching
  • 11 Mile Rd./ US-131: Interchange Ramp Improvement
  • M‐43 2: Full depth joints & mastic patching: Concrete Patches
  • 32nd St over US‐131: Bridge
  • US‐131 SB over The Kalamazoo River (03111‐ B01‐2): Bridge and Construction Inspection 


This second round of projects were completed with the remaining budget and time allotted in the schedule for completion: 
  •  US‐131 south of 120th Ave.: Slope failure: Slope repair   OR   M‐43 2: Full depth joints & mastic patching: Concrete Patches
  • M‐21 West of Turkey Trail: Resurfacing & Shoulder Repairs workflow
  • "US‐131 at M‐6 Interchange ramps: Concrete Patches"
  • I‐196 interchange ramp and over street at 68th St: Concrete Patches
Grand Region As-needed Maintenance 2022: 
​Value Engineering is providing As-Needed Maintenance for MDOT's Grand Region. ​Services for this contract include design services to prepare scoping estimates, final design (typically in the log format) and specifications, utility coordination, construction inspection and material testing, bridge approach slab/joint replacement and miscellaneous maintenance bridge deck repair design and detailing, and design and/or ROW surveys as required. 
The project goals are to complete a priority list of the following 11 projects : 
  • I-96 EB & WB from M-66 to Clinton County Line (Ionia County)
  • M-21 500' west of Turkey Trail (Ionia County)
  • Woodward Avenue over US-131 (Mecosta County)
  • 18 Mile over US-131 (Osceola County)
  • I-96 EB & WB from M-66 to Clinton County Line (Ionia County)
  • M-66 Grand River to Tuttle, M-21 to Dildine, Long Lake to Montcalm (Ionia County)
  • 2,500 feet west of Heath Road to Broadway (Barry County)
  • US-131 south of 120th Ave.
  • US-131 SB between Kalamazoo River and 102nd
  • M-21 POE of 2021 project to Alden Nash
  • NB US-131 opposite from Rockford Rest Area
