Value Engineering performed utility verification and coordination for relocation during the design and construction phases of the completed project on I-69. The project spanned from 3800 feet south of the I-94 interchange in Calhoun County to approximately 250 feet north of Island Highway near Charlotte, Eaton County.
SCOPE OF SERVICES: Value Engineering's scope of services included:
Contacting utility companies to collect information about existing utilities.
Developing Utility Tracking Reports.
Coordinating and following up with utility companies and MDOT.
Reviewing utility designs and developing CAD base files.
Attending meetings with MDOT and Michael Baker International Inc. (MBaker).
DELIVERABLES:
Utility Tracking Reports: Monthly submissions to Prime Consultant and Client.
Verification and organization of files for team and client use.
Coordination and documentation of correspondence between client and utility companies.
Conducting Utility Coordination meetings.
QUALITY MANAGEMENT:
Developed and implemented QA/QC procedures as per the Project QA/QC plan.
