The M-51 & US-12 Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Project spans 3.90 miles in the City of Niles and Niles Charter Township. This project, scheduled for completion by the end of 2024, involves a comprehensive range of road rehabilitation and reconstruction activities. These include hot mix asphalt (HMA) cold milling and resurfacing, HMA inlay, HMA reconstruction, concrete pavement repairs, sidewalk construction, bridge and embankment removal, installation of traffic signals, and implementation of permanent signing and pavement markings.
Scope of WorkValue Engineering serves as a sub-consultant on this 3.90-mile rehabilitation and reconstruction project in Niles and Niles Charter Township. VE's role includes providing Office Technician and Construction Engineering services to support the project. Key responsibilities under this contract include:
Office Technician Services:
Reviewing Inspectors Daily Reports (IDRs) and prevailing certified wage rates.
Organizing and filing office tickets.
Tracking Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) participation.
Managing Material Source Lists (MSLs).
Construction Engineering Services:
Reviewing Requests for Information (RFIs), shop drawings, contract modifications, and quantities.
