US-131 Heavy Rehabilitation

This MDOT Project is located on US-131 from Rocky River to North of U Drive in St. Joe and Kalamazoo Counties, Project length is 13.34 Miles. The overall project consisted of milling with multicourse overlay (ASCRL from M-216 to north of U Drive), drainage improvements, median crossover removal at county road intersections replaced with indirect left-turn lanes, and reconstruction of the railroad crossing approach and selected segments of pavement in the village of Schoolcraft. Value Engineering was subcontracted to work on pavement marking design, maintenance of traffic design and specifications, the traffic management plan, and permanent signing design.
